With over 15 years of ice cream-making experience, they've developed a shortcut-style mix that encourages people to make simple yet incredibly delicious homemade ice cream without an ice cream maker.
You can certainly experiment with other liquids, but half & half has the perfect amount of fat to make your ice cream flavorful, creamy, and smooth. Your pantry is the best place to store your mixes until you're ready to use them, as they have a naturally long shelf life.
For the best freezing results, place your pint in the back of the freezer where it's coldest, and make sure your freezer is between 0-10 degrees and not overly stuffed. If you don't have an electric hand mixer, a stand mixer with a whisk attachment will work well, as it incorporates air into the mixture. And if you have an ice cream maker, you can certainly use it, but we recommend making 2 pints at a time due to the capacity.
True Scoops ice cream mixes are easy to make - just pour in the half & half, mix for 5 minutes, and then pour the mixture back into the pint container to freeze.
